I am Cheyenne Gerlach, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I’m pursuing a degree in Integrated Sciences with focuses in Global Food Insecurity and Environmental Sustainability. I am passionate about feeding a hungry world through research and extension education.
I served as a Nebraska FFA state vice president this past year, and am currently serving as a student government senator for CASNR. I am also involved with the Nebraska Pork Mentorship Program, my sorority Chi Omega, and Engler Entrepreneurs. I am a co-founder of a non-profit called Giving Gloves which provides gloves in the winter months for the youth in Lincoln and am working on an educational program for agricultural literacy and food security called Sustaining Sprouts.
